These are not the best of times for Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane.
Girona handed Real a shocking 2-1 in La Liga last Sunday and then they went down 3-1 against Tottenham at Wembley in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Zinedine Zidane’s men are in third place in the La Liga table after 10 rounds of matches, eight points adrift of leaders Barcelona.
They will look to bounce back with a victory at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday.
As rumours of Zinedine Zidane being sacked heightens, Daily Mail reports that Tottenham’s Mauricio Pochettino is the hot-favourite to replace the Frenchman at Bernabeu.
This is not the first time Pochettino has been linked with a La Liga giant.
Barcelona was reportedly keen on appointing him but the Argentine rejected because he was a player of local-derby rivals, Espanyol.
The manager has made Tottenham Hotspur title contenders and Champions League regulars in a short time and they have gone to become one of the best teams in the Premier League right now.
Apart from Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain are also keeping an eye on Pochettino.
The Ligue 1 sides are not happy with Unai Emery and want the Argentine to take over next summer.
